Every transportation decision affects somebody. Residents, visitors, and businesses rely on the system to meet their transportation needs. A public involvement plan has been developed in order to keep all interested public officials, citizens, and special interest groups informed and encourage them to be involved in the development of this project. The goal is a safe and efficient roadway that the citizens and users can be satisfied with, while, in the process, keeping everyone aware of the project’s progression.

The plan also has an evaluation element to ensure the affected public is involved. Information regarding the project will be uploaded periodically on this web site to keep the public updated on its progress and events. Newsletters will be mailed to elected and appointed officials, property owners, interested persons, and the news media in advance of the public meetings and hearing. Public meetings and a formal public hearing are planned within the next two years to provide project information and to solicit public comment. After public participation events, they will be reviewed for the level of participation and the variety of participants. If needed, the planned objectives will be adjusted in order to reach the desired level of public participation.
